Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the TV show The Mentalist. She received the B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in film, theater, and television. Her acting journey began in theater and later appeared in numerous shows on television as well as independent and mainstream movies. The actress was famous for her role in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered critical acclaim, but she also won a lot of prizes. In 1995 she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. On Broadway she's appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her most well-known work is her roles in the films Men of Honor and the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. The role she played as a character in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
