Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically mixed family. Madekwe is English as well as her father was Nigerian. She was a student at The Brit School when she was fourteen years old. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was earned. The stage she appeared in was numerous productions during her time at school like King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting by starring in a movie titled Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making appearances as a guest in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she appeared in Elisha in an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie in the six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi as Bambi in The ITV2 show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe appeared in the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Her theatre credits includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 drama The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast on The CW before being cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was in the episodes of the show's initial two seasons as a regular. But in May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will quit the show due to her guest appearance on the premiere episode of its third season. In the television series Salem the actress played Tituba between 2014 and the year 2016. Then, in June of 2012 she was married to her long-time love, actor Iddo Goldberg. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Goldberg also appeared alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for a Gemini Award, comes from an extensive Hamilton family. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with four brothers who were older than them: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletes, play baseball in summers and played hockey in the winter months. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She danced. So when she was two and a half, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer since that time. Ashley was a professional dancer throughout the various divisions until she finished high school. She was a competitor in jazz, tap, ballet and pointe, as well as the acrobatics. She was the top soloist in big competitions, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
