Anne Lockhart is an American actress. Her birth name is Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953. She's best-known as Lieutenant Sheba in the Battlestar Galactica TV series from 1978 to 1979. She is a daughter of actor June Lockhart. Her grandfather was an actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart was a young actress when her career began. She acted in her first film when she was just four years old for T is for Tumbleweed. Oscar nominations were given to the short documentary. Her mother invited her to a film studio, where she was taught about what the industry of film was like. Lockhart was even a part of several seasons of Lassie. Dora in Jory, 1972 was the first film she appeared in by Lockhart. She was just 18 years old when she played Joan Crawford's daughter Joan Crawford on The Sixth Sense. Joan acted in this episode for the final time. Rumor has it that Anne did not want to be Laurie Strode, the character in John Carpenter's horror movie Halloween. The character was given to Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter claims that they were interested in her but she turned it down. Anne does not recall ever being approached with the name of John Carpenter or being offered the role. One of her agents might have turned down the opportunity on her behalf and without her knowledge. The initial decision was for the part by Glen Larson who sent her an initial script for a role in the 1978 series on television Battlestar Galactica. The character wasn't strong enough for her to accept the part. Glen created a brand new character to play for her using Sheba being a more formidable persona. The Living Legend, the first twenty-five pages of which she had already read it was immediately embraced. It ran for a single season. The actress was in Joyride in a film from 1977 featuring Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (son Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille and Lucille) in addition to with Robert Carradine. In 1987 she co-starred alongside Michael Moriarty and The Dark Tower.
